The Unchangeable Word of God

One of the things that impressed me so when I was young and hearing about the Bible for the first time was the teaching on the absolute integrity of the Word of God.  That the Bible was God talking to me personally!  It was Him speaking to me and into my life, it was instruction on how to handle the affairs of life and it was absolutely infallible not matter what any human bing had experienced, what they reasoned or how they intellectually dismissed it. I did not even realize until later in life that there are whole groups of people who think on some level that God wrote the Bible through men but it is pretty much just a group of stories or perhaps a history book of what God used to do. If you are going to be successful in the Christian life, this kind of thinking cannot remain in your life!  According to the Bible, the Word of God is just as much a manifestation of God in the earth as God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit (John1:1)! God nev...

Faith in the Blood of Jesus

What is faith in the blood of Jesus? It is faith in the righteousness given to us through the blood Jesus shed on Calvary’s cross for us. Through faith in the redemptive power of His eternal blood, His mighty Spirit comes to indwell us, bringing us new birth (John 14:17).  We are made new creatures in Christ Jesus, given right-standing with Him and the ability to come before His throne of grace without a sense of condemnation or guilt (2 Corinthians 5:17; Hebrews 4:16; Galatians 4:6).  Our souls - mind, will and emotions - are “sprinkled from an evil conscience,” delivered from torment and set free by His blood and the washing of the water of His WORD (Hebrews 10:22). Notice however that in order to be washed by the Word you have to be IN it! Through faith in His blood we “have received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, ‘ABBA, Father.’ The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirits that we are the children of God” (Romans 8:15-16).  By faith in H...

I Will Not Fear because.....THE LORD!

It is amazing how many Christians have no concept or spiritual vision that the LORD is on their side! For multiple generations, people have been taught that the LORD is their problem.  He’s the One who will hurt or punish if they get even a little out of line.  But nothing could be further from the truth.  The LORD, because of His great hesed-agape love, created mankind because He wanted a family (Exodus 4:22; Romans 8:15; 2 Corinthians 6:18; Hebrews 2:11).   He created them in His own image, gave them everything from inside Himself, and provided all they and their descendants would ever need!  He gave them dominion over the planet He had created just for them and invited them to fellowship daily with Him on His level (Genesis 3:8; Exodus 33:11; Isaiah 1:18; Hebrews 4:16; James 2:23). When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, and were joined to their new, evil, and terroristic lord, God put into motion a plan of redemption that would rescue fa...

The High Priest of our Confession of Faith

Jesus was appointed by God as the High Priest of our words - our profession, or confession , of faith.  The word profession is a Greek word that means “confession” or “to say the same thing.” As long as you and I are saying what Jesus says, God has sent and anointed Him to be High Priest over His WORD in our mouths! He is not only appointed to the office but He is anointed to do it! He is the Apostle and Hight Priest of our confession, with total authority in heaven and in earth (Matthew 28:18).  There is no circumstance, no power, no devil that can stop God, the One living inside of you.  There is no power that can stop the promises of His WORD coming to pass in your life when those promises come out of your mouth in faith.  All of heaven backs God’s words in YOUR mouth! Psalm 103:20 says the the angels of the the Lord listen for the VOICE of His Word.  Actually, that word “hearken” not only means to listen to but it also denotes obedience....

He Sent His WORD!

Healing for EVERY sickness and EVERY disease is in the WORD of God! It will produce a hundredfold in health and healing. The WORD will give you strength.  Acts 20:32 says, “I commend you to God and to the WORD of His grace, which is able to build you up...”. The WORD will build you up and pull you out of tiredness, mental weakness, and a low place physically!  It will make you strong when you feel as if you are falling. God’s laws of healing have never changed! The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:2) and the law of faith (Romans 3:27) were established before the foundation of the world because the plan of redemption was in the heart and mind of God before the foundation of the world (1 Peter 1:19-20; Revelation 13:8) They’re laws, just like the physical law of gravity! You could have flown a 747 in 1518 just the same as you can in 2018. The law of lift would have superseded gravity and drag back then, the same way it does now.  Lack...

God Wants to Show Off

Psalm 91 is chock full of wonderful and marvelous things that are so pertinent to living in today’s world of plagues, terrorists and depraved men motivated by satan but I want to look at the last verse and point out a couple things for you to meditate on today. Psalm 91:16 says, “With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.” That statement is a little blind to us not knowing the full impact of what was actually communicated in the original Hebrew text as well as in light of what God Himself has specifically said previously. Let’s break it down a bit! 1.  “With long life”....you and I do not have the right to decide what “long life” actually is in the heart and mind of God.  We have to depend upon what God has actually said about the lifespan of a man or woman.   Contrary to traditional religious thinking, “three score years and ten; and if by reason of strength, they be fourscore” is NOT what God said about lifespan!  Back up one...

Celebrating Labor Day

Today, as we celebrate the the holiday Labor Day in America, I meditate on some things that the Word has to say about working and I understand more and more that the motivation of the actions described as “work” are what’s important to God.   For example, how would you answer the question, “Why do you go to work every day and do what you do?” A lot of people would say things like: “Well, I have to make a living of course!” “I have to put food on the table and the kids have to have new clothes!” “Well, you know the Bible says that if you don’t work you won’t have money to eat!” I know that those all sound good and have been represented as “righteous” ways of thinking in line with the Bible but do you know that they are actually totally wrong! Let’s look at these a little closer and I believe you will see what I’m getting at here.  “Well, I have to make a living of course!”....actually, the Bible says that it is the BLESSING OF THE LORD that make...
