No Spirit of Fear Here!
Did you know that fear was once Adam’s faith? Well, it was! When Adam bowed his knee to God’s enemy in the Garden of Eden, the faith of God that had been his as a son of God, made in His image, was twisted into fear — its reciprocal. The first thing Adam said after his sin was, “I heard Your voice in the garden and was afraid” (Genesis 3:10). All that Adam had been given by God was taken by his new lord and perverted. Love became hate, prosperity became lack and toil, and life and health were now sickness and death. In addition, Adam’s authority in the earth was given over to his new lord (Luke 4:6). But when Jesus was born into the earth and later went to the cross as your and my substitute, He destroyed the works of the devil. First John 3:8 says, “For this purpose the Son of God was revealed, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” And Hebrews 2:14-15 says, “So then, as the children share in flesh and blood, He likewise took part in these, so that through death He m...
