No Spirit of Fear Here!

Did you know that fear was once Adam’s faith?  Well, it was! When Adam bowed his knee to God’s enemy in the Garden of Eden, the faith of God that had been his as a son of God, made in His image, was twisted into fear — its reciprocal. The first thing Adam said after his sin was, “I heard Your voice in the garden and was afraid” (Genesis 3:10). All that Adam had been given by God was taken by his new lord and perverted. Love became hate, prosperity became lack and toil, and life and health were now sickness and death. In addition, Adam’s authority in the earth was given over to his new lord (Luke 4:6). But when Jesus was born into the earth and later went to the cross as your and my substitute, He destroyed the works of the devil. First John 3:8 says, “For this purpose the Son of God was revealed, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” And Hebrews 2:14-15 says, “So then, as the children share in flesh and blood, He likewise took part in these, so that through death He m...

Are You a Harvester?

Brother Keith Moore delivered a word from the Lord at Eagle Mountain International Church almost 20 years ago that was so very impactful!  Pastor George Pearsons recently reminded us of it and I wanted to share it with you as it is imperative that people understand this. Brother Moore said that God was blessed by our giving, but He was bothered and grieved we weren’t reaping.  He said people were being deceived in their thinking if they were just waiting for God to bring a harvest to them. He said some people had even become disillusioned and aggravated with God saying, “How much more can I give?” He told us many were thinking reaping is automatic: We sow the money, and then it’s all up to God. All we are to do is sit back, relax and it will all just come on us. The LORD called that “ignorance and confusion” and challenged us to hear this word and make up our minds we would not only be good sowers but good reapers, proficient at reaping our harvests. There is an a...

Man was Created by God to Have Authority

God creates with words.  He created Adam in His own image with words of dominion (Genesis 1:26). In Adam, He reproduced Himself. God gave Adam His own authority over everything on this planet and crowned him with His glory (Psalm 8:4-5). He did not create Adam and then appoint him as His manager. He created Adam to rule - a living, speaking spirit, like his Creator. It is man’s nature to rule just as it is God’s nature to rule. God’s delegated authority was conferred on man as God’s under-ruler. That was God’s will from the beginning, and He never changes. He used the same process by which He created Adam to create Jesus, the second or last Adam — His words (1 Corinthians 15:45). Jesus is THE WORD (John 1:1). The WORD was made flesh, spoken into the earth by God’s words through the mouths of His prophets, until the Seed was born through whom all the nations of the earth would be blessed (Genesis 22:18). Through His words Jesus operated in dominion in the earth over storms (Mar...

The Choice is Yours

You are the establishing witness for your life.  God’s promises, and the whole Bible, are based around this principle: “Out of the mouth of two or three witnesses let every word be established” (Deuteronomy 17:6; 19:15; Matthew 18:16; 2 Corinthians 13:1; 1 Timothy 5:19; Hebrew 10:28) On one side of every issue of life facing you are the devil, evil spirits, sickness, disease, death and poverty. They are all part of the curse that’s in this earth (Genesis 3:17-19) coming against you to take over your thinking.  But on the other side of the those issues is Jesus, your Redeemer, and all His promises to you.  He ever lives to make intercession for you (Hebrews 7:25) and has sent His angels to minister for you and to assist you (Hebrews 1:14).  And then there’s the Body of Christ, your brothers and sisters in the LORD, who are praying for you. So, on one side of the issue is the law of sin and death vying for your attention, and on the other, the law of the Spiri...

God Spoke Adam Into Existence

The power to create comes from God’s inner being. His dynamic, living, self energizing, creative force of faith is released with his words. In Genesis 1 alone, 10 times the Scriptures tell us “God said,” as he released his faith to create day and night, the firmament, dry-land, plants and trees, the stars and planets, etc. Hebrews 11:3 says, “by faith we understand that the universe was framed by the word of God, so the things that are seen were not made out of things which are visible.” Man was created the same way. God formed him from the dust of the ground “and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being” (Genesis 2:7). Notice, it says, “God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” (Genesis 1:26). Just as he had spoken to create everything else, God spoke man into existence with his words, essentially saying, “man, be in our image.” The “breath of life” was contained in the word spoken into Adam. Jesus said, “it is the spirit wh...

Faith Believes and Acts

Faith believes, speaks and acts on the WORD! When you need something from God, go to the WORD and find a promise of God that covers the need, believe what it says, and receive your answer by faith.  Say, “It’s mine!”   Because you are a joint heir with Jesus, when you read His promises, remember that He is the WORD (John 1:1).  It is the same as if Jesus were standing there in the flesh, speaking that promise to you personally.  You are seated together with Him in heavenly places and are part of His kingdom - a child of God and the seed of Abraham through faith in Him.  He has given you His promises to actively believe and receive, just as Abraham did and was blessed. Receive them.  See yourself through the eyes of faith, receiving what you are believing for, and praise God for the answer.  Act as if it’s already yours (James 2:18,20) When you need healing in your body, don’t pray, “IF it be Your will.” God’s WORD in Isaiah 53:4-5 and 1 Pe...
