God’s Help

Hello everyone! My name is Ryan Weeter and I’m going to be talking with you about God’s help. This is something that I have learned the true impact of personally and just recently.  Just a couple months ago I was in a major slump. I wasn’t getting in the Word. I wasn’t fellowshipping with God regularly. It just wasn’t fun. I could get in the Word, but I would have to force myself, it wasn’t a relationship, it was a chore.  Then, one day I was in class at Bible college and they had a bit of an altar call for people that wanted to become more focused on God. I went up and the teacher ministered to me for a bit, but what he ministered came down to one thing. Your flesh won’t want the word, but your spirit man does and God wants fellowship with you too.  Ask God and He will help. I went home, got on my knees, folded my hands, the whole nine yards to make it an official decision. Ever since, I have enjoyed the Word thoroughly, and it clicked. God helps! We don’t need to ...

God is Backing You Up!

Hello everyone! My name is Ryan Weeter and today I’m going to be talking about who is backing you up! God! One of the first verses I ever memorized was Nahum 1:7 which says “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.”  That was one of my go to verses for encouragement and protection. Then, just the other day God told me to read the surrounding verses. Just looking at the verses before and after created such a change in how I saw this verse.  Nahum 1:6-8 says “Who can can stand before his indignation? And who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? His fury is poured out like a fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him. The Lord is good, and a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.”  This scripture isn’t just a nice little scripture about how good God is. It certainly ...

Blessing the Lord

Editor’s Note: When Ryan sent this to me, it was quite evident that it should be posted today! Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms everywhere! You are loved! Hello everyone! My name is Ryan Weeter and today I’m going to be talking about blessing God.  I was doing some reading in my Bible on a break at work and I came across a scripture that caught my eye.  Daniel 2:19 which says, “Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. So Daniel blessed the God of heaven.”  Now I had always heard people talking about blessing God, but this scripture made me actually think about it. God is God, how can anything we can do bless him?  It’s not like he needs supernatural favor, or finances, or health. What can we do to bless him? First and foremost we can praise and worship him.  In fact, that particular verse can also translate “blessed” as praised.  When we praise and worship him, we’re blessing him. Blessing isn’t necessarily some “christianese” ...

Perfect Peace

Hello everyone! My name is Ryan Weeter and today I’m going to be talking about peace.  As I’ve ministered to people, something was brought to my attention by God. Too few Christians have peace.  So many people that ask for prayer mention something about being stressed, being afraid, being anxious. They ask for peace, but then turn right around and start wallowing in their stress and circumstances again.  It’s time that this is brought to an end. The Bible says that Jesus is the prince of peace and of his peace there will be no end (Isaiah 9:6-7).  With peace being such a big aspect of who Jesus is why is it that so many of his followers are without peace?  Why do Christians allow the devil to come in and steal their peace? Philippians 4:6-7 says “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts a...

The Meat of the Word

Hello everyone!  My name is Ryan Weeter and today I’m going to be talking about the meat of the word.  I had just returned from my honeymoon and started getting back in the word. Between the wedding planning and travel I had let it slip.  As I started reading the word again and listening to teachings I began to be energized! I physically felt different. I was excited, I was focused, and I was no longer stressed or tired.  It felt exactly like taking a sip of an ice cold soda after fasting soda for months. The crisp, refreshing, and invigorating feeling. I spent the rest of the day just enjoying it and as I fell asleep that night God spoke to me and told me “The word is the meal.  TV, games, social media are candy.” I laid in bed for a bit and thought about that.  The word really is the full meal. Hebrews 5:13-14 says “For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.  But solid food belongs t...
