Run into THE NAME!
I want to talk with you about THE NAME as a place - a location. In Proverbs 18:10 KJV, the Lord, through Solomon, tells us, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” The Message Translation says it this way, “GOD’s name is a place of protection— good people can run there and be safe.” And we are not supposed to run in there only every now and then when we are in trouble and then duck back out again! Let’s look over at Colossians 3:17 KJV, “And WHATSOEVER ye do in word or deed, do ALL in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” (Emphasis mine) The only way we can say every word we say and do every action we do inside that NAME is if we LIVE inside that name! This is what David was telling us in the entire 91st Psalm.
